The European Climate Pact Pledge
We, the next-incubator, would like to contribute to protecting the climate and inspire others to follow. This is one of the main goals we want to achieve. Which is why we have joined the European Pathway Pledge through which we commit to defined goals.
Pathway Actions cover a wide spectrum of climate-friendly activities. They can represent a first commitment to protecting the climate, leading to more courageous steps for experienced players and to the definition of goals.

Emissions
Using several steps, the next-incubator commits to reducing its initial 2022 carbon emissions by 2 % compared to the base value of 65 (2019 t CO94,98e). These steps include a more rigid regulation for business trips by formulating an internal guideline, defining a head budget, optimising HVAC systems and controlling external procurement. The greenhouse gas balance includes the scopes 2 to 1 acc. to the GHG protocol and will be performed using the klima.metrix start-up’s analysis tool. The remaining emissions will be compensated by external carbon reduction and removal projects that meet the most stringent compensation standards such as the gold standard. klima.metrix accomplished. Energy goal
For 2022, our goal is to reduce our initial energy sector carbon emissions by 2 % compared to the base value of 10 (2019 t CO4,28e). Parallel to the changes to the office premises (relocation), a comprehensive package of measures was implemented to raise awareness and promote energy efficiency. Hosting webinars on relevant sustainability topics to provide new inputs and views from external experts on various topics. KPI's for evaluation
All projects are evaluated for their environmental, economic and social impact. This quantitative and qualitative assessment is carried out by an international group of experts (compiled by the Finnish sustainability network SOLVED) with a focus on the greatest possible diversity (not only in terms of gender, but also geographic and personal and professional background). This score is an essential part of both the internal evaluation and the evaluation of future projects.
