Elements Energy

Powerful yet cost-effective energy storage

As a Styrian start-up, Elements Energy has developed the hybrid energy storage system of the future with JOHANN.

What you should know

The innovation

In order to stop climate change, it is essential to obtain as much of the energy we consume from renewable sources as possible - but production and demand often do not match.

To solve this problem, storage with a capacity 100 times larger than currently available on the market is required - and at a fraction of the cost per kilowatt hour of storage capacity. EEG Elements Energy GmbH has set itself the goal of building exactly this storage system: JOHANN .

The next-incubator is currently running two pilot projects with the JOHANN energy cell: A project with the distribution of Energie Steiermark as a PV seasonal storage for energy autonomy including heat use. The second project with Energie Netze to test JOHANN as a long-term storage facility for decentralized system services.

Support from Next-Incubator

As a subsidiary of Energie Steiermark, the next-incubator has in-depth know-how in the field of decentralized energy storage. It is precisely with this expertise that the next-incubator accompanies the start-up JOHANN on the way to market maturity.
