Climate lifestyle check

In order to protect the climate holistically, each individual needs to be aware that their personal lifestyle influences the climate and our environment.

Therefore, the Climate Lifestyle Check enables the calculation of the CO2 footprint caused by the personal climate lifestyle. Using an online questionnaire developed by Joanneum Research, the CO2 emissions in the areas of mobility, nutrition, consumption and leisure activities are recorded. The result is then compared to the average Austrian.

The lifestyle check calculates the greenhouse gas balance for the activities and decisions in which the influence of the individual predominates. According to this, around 4,6 tons of greenhouse gas emissions per capita remain, for example from public infrastructure such as roads or public services such as administration and health care.

As a subsidiary of Energie Steiermark, the next-incubator has in-depth know-how in the field of energy efficiency. It is precisely with this expertise that the next-incubator accompanies the implementation of the Climate Lifestyle Check project.
